Order to Cash Specialist

Position Overview

The Order to Cash Specialist will play a critical role in managing and executing the order to cash cycle, focusing on efficient invoicing and optimizing cash-in processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and financial skills, ensuring accurate billing and timely cash collection.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the order to cash process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all stages from order entry, billing, to cash collection.

- Generate, send out, and track invoices, resolving any invoicing issues with customers promptly.

- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure that payments are received on time, and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed.

- Work closely with sales to resolve billing and payment discrepancies.

- Prepare regular reports on billing activity, cash receipts, and accounts receivable status for management.

- Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.

- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

- Suggest improvements to the order-to-cash process to reduce cycle time and improve cash flow.

- Supporting customer inquiries through ticketing system, meeting 100% customer response SLA

Qualifications Required

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an order to cash, accounts receivable, or similar finance role.

- Strong understanding of financial reporting.

- Proficiency in the following software - MS Office, especially Excel, SalesForce, QuickBooks online.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

- Bachelor’s degree (or 4+ years experience) in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

- Experience with 3rd party procurements systems, such as SAP Ariba, Mercury, Tungsten, or similar.

- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and guidelines., especially GAAP.
